in plone form 'folder_factories', the 'add XX' buttons are not translated

Could you please be a bit more specific.

What's the exact Plone version you are using? folder_factories is not a template, so what's the full URL you encountered this? In which language did you try to view the site?

Stupid me. Havn't seen that template in ages. Fixed in SVN now.
