Ticket #11141 (closed Bug: fixed)
Author page's Edit link should edit a user's personal information
|Reported by:||davidjb||Owned by:||piv|
Using Plone 4.0, I've noticed that when a user is viewing their own author page (eg /Plone/author/admin), the Edit link that is present points to @@personal-preferences, where the user can change their site preferences, rather than their personal information. Seeing the Author page displays all of a user's personal information (name, homepage, biography, location, portrait), it seems to make sense the Edit link should be editing this correlated information, rather than unrelated options like WYSIWYG editor, site language etc.
I understand that you can get to the @@personal-information page with one more click from the preferences page. But, it seems logical that if you were looking at your Author page (eg looking at your personal information), then clicking Edit should be editing that info.
