variables not replaced in translations

Reported by: deichi Owned by: hannosch

In the latest version of Plone 2.1 branch I downloaded from SVN (2.1.3 unreleases/SVN), the translation does not replace all variables (sometimes it does, but in most cases not (e.g. in batching, the 'previous ${number} items' is translated, the 'next ${number} items' still contains ${number}. ))

I already updated PlacelessTranslationService to latest SVN version (revision 23223), but nothing changed.

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Milestone changed from 2.1.x to 2.1.3

I should have fixed this problem in SVN revision 23240. At least for the 'next ${number} items' and similiar cases. Similiar in this regard means strings that uses variable interpolation and are itself normal strings as opposed to Unicode and the interpolated value was not of type basestring, but for example int.
